This guide handles the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just before Thotar provides a taming Rod for the Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will provide you with a number of 3 taming rods, every one is different and lets you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and eventually an Armored Scorpid.
